Suggestions for choosing our Essences

When we began our work making essences, we gave each a Signature that would describe its efficacy; situations and reasons why you might want to take it.

You'll find these under 'Originals'.

As we have evolved our understanding and creative practice, we developed a more open and, we believe, more effective way of presenting these energies.

We would say that it relies more upon what David Whyte calls 'open-ended contextualization' as he describes the effects of a good (impacting) work of art.

To us, this means that we understand and know that each of our essences meets you where you are, can take you where you 'want to go' and also has profound and hidden depths - mysteries to us (and you) - that are going to unfold and become apparent in your life as you continue to have the conversation with them.

This contextualization is delivered in a quote, a poem, a movie title and so forth; not as something that inspired us to create the essence but something that encapsulates the 'shape of it', or better put, provides the doorway through which you can enter its healing landscape.

As a non-intellectual (non-linear) descriptor, i.e. something that will not make sense to your head yet resonates with your heart, you will choose an essence because you know it is what you are looking for and, simultaneously, what is looking for you in answer to your heartfelt questions and yearnings.

Be open-minded. Trust us. Trust yourself. We know it works. And soon, you will too.

Suggestions for taking our Essences

Once you have chosen your essence, it is recommended that you spend a few moments establishing a relationship with it. This does not have to take long or be anything formal; a few moments in quiet contemplation with the essence in your hand, or holding it in one hand and placing the other one over the top of the bottle, letting the energies of your body flow between your palms.

It has been our experience that periodically ‘renewing your acquaintance’ with your essence, during the time you are taking it, will continue to facilitate the connection and deepen the levels of healing and transformation that can occur.

The amount and manner by which you take your essence is entirely up to you; intuitively, as and when you feel so inspired, as a regimen – 2 drops, 4 times a day, under your tongue, in a glass of water. In fact there are no limits to how creatively you can introduce them to your system.

Our experience is that around day 4 you might encounter some turbulence as the new information from these essences is integrated into your system. It might be tempting to stop taking the essence, be brave, day 5 is often a day of revelation and spaciousness, where the changes you are encountering begin to show up in your life, both inner and outer.

We have noticed also that this cycle of disintegration/reintegration repeats itself over the course of time you take each essence, and whilst this might seem like a reason to not take essences, we would posit that this same cycle of growth and change happens in all of life all of the time and is not extraordinary to this or any other healing modality. It is perhaps just more noticeable because we are looking directly at it.

We have only two cautionary pieces of advice; do not let your essence be microwaved and try to prevent dirt particles or other foreign bodies from contaminating the liquid in the bottle.

Have fun!
